Long Time, No Post.

I've really been neglecting my blog, haven't I? :( Things have been so krazy. I was going to use this as an "only happiness" blog but I really need someplace to vent and I'm going to do so here; don't get me wrong, I'm still going to post happiness, too!

Focusing on the goodness: the little sister and I just got back from two vacations! First, we went to Galveston & Houston to see HIM and to go to the ocean! It was SO much fun!!

We also went to Seattle; I finally have been to my Seattle!!! EEEEE!!! I finally got to see Kurt Cobain's house and park!! Bought a Cobain painting from this guy at the harbor and got one of Kurt Cobain's fetus drawings tattooed on my left arm!

Rain, Thunder, Candles, Incesce & Gardening.

I've been busy all week long as well as today and I'm finally on the porch sitting back listening to the rain and thunder, relaxing, with candles and incense lit just enjoying the rest of the evening so I thought I'd come made a short entry. ^__^

I've bought a couple of seeds to plant, just not sure where I'll plant them yet; one is an amaryllis bulb and the other are black-eyed Susan seeds. I've started looking up different types of flowers, plants, shrubs that attract hummingbirds, butterflies and faeries... I have quite a bit written down under the faerie column so far, need to look more up for the other two.

Do any of you have a suggestion on anything I should plant?

Recipes: Lavender Chocolate Truffles.

You'll need:
12 oz bittersweet chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon dried lavender
1 cup unsweetened cocoa

(You can buy dried lavender here for $3.50: http://etsy.me/Zzhlxd)

Grate the chocolate. Bring the cream and the lavender to a simmer in a small saucepan for 1 minute, then strain out the lavender pieces. Add the lavender-cream mixture to the chocolate and stir to melt. Mix well. Chill for at least 3 hours. Roll into 1-inch balls, then roll in cocoa. (Makes 24 truffles)

Gardening: Plotting.

The boyfriend and I are cleaning/revamping the yard, I've decided to add some flowers around the porch area to make it look a little bit nicer since he's places our huge rocks we "borrowed" *wink wink* from our Colorado trip. This yard is about 6 acres of land, I think he said, so there's so much room for decoration... I just don't know exactly what to do at the moment other then the flowers around the porch. I was thinking of starting a Fairy Garden type with all of the small benches, mushrooms and so on. There's also a huge tree in the front of the yard that's beautiful and would make for a great Fairy garden around it also. There's a bunch of growth around it though and not sure what it is; the boyfriend needs to buy some loppers so we can clear it all out soon before Spring is over with that way I can plant everything. The great thing about a fairy garden is everything is so small and won't take much space so it won't cost as much as a bigger garden would. I also think it would be something that Zach's little sister, Chieanne, would enjoy whenever she comes over.

I own a book called 'Garden Witchery' that has a section on garden fairies in it. I've already read it a few times but it's been a good while now so I'll need to re-read it. I'd also like some other books on it also before I begin so I need to be on the hunt for some. Any books suggested would be greatly appreciated!

As far as "things" for the garden goes, I plan on buying handmade from Etsy. So if you, someone you know or you know of a place that sells fairy garden items, let me know by leaving the link in the comments and I'll check the shop(s) out!

Speaking of Fairies, don't forget...
